Sports America Kids Month: History, Purpose and Fun Ways to Support the Cause!

Did you know that June is Sports America Kids Month? It's a time to celebrate and promote youth sports in the United States. The purpose of Sports America Kids Month is to encourage kids to participate in sports, stay healthy and have fun. There are many events and great need for fundraising throughout the month, so be sure to get involved! In this blog post, we will discuss the history of Sports America Kids Month, as well as a fun, easy way that you can support the cause!

 Sports America Kids Month was founded in 2006 by the National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS). NAYS is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to improving the lives of children through sports. Every year, they partner with different organizations to host events and fundraising opportunities during Sports America Kids Month. This year, they are partnering with the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and Major League Baseball (MLB).

 There are many ways that you can support Sports America Kids Month! Here are a few ideas:
