Why we started:

The Problem

Schools and non-profits are always looking for ways to fundraise, but it can be difficult to get started. It seems like every time you turn around there's a new way to fundraise, but most of them are either too complicated or don't generate enough revenue.

What we created:

The Solution

The Great Coffee Project is the perfect solution for schools and non-profits who want an easy and profitable way to fundraise. We provide all of the materials you need to get started, and our coffee is delicious, high quality, freshly roasted and affordable.

The Great Coffee Project's Mission, Vision, and Values

Coffee that gives back

We believe in giving back. Every purchase is an opportunity for you to donate 15% of your purchase price to the non-profit organization of your choice. We believe this is important because we want to make a difference. It's not enough to sell an amazing product, we want to work with you to use it to make a positive impact on the world.

Choose one of our featured partners to donate to, or select any other 501(c)(3) registered organization.

If you are a 501(c)(3) registered organization, we provide free resources to maximize your fundraising goals. Learn more here.

Focused on nature

We select coffee that demonstrates an ongoing commitment to reduce environmental impact. Organic, recycled and eco-friendly in every case possible. We don't allow the use of any chemical pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers in the growth or processing of the coffee we roast. We work with our suppliers to promote earth-friendly farming techniques, such as shade growth, to help reduce environmental impacts.

We also work with local and international organizations to develop sustainable coffee growing practices. For example, we are working with Ecologi to plant trees in parts of the world that were previously deforested for farming. With every purchase you make, we donate 1 tree. Learn more here.

Paying farmers fairly

We work with our suppliers to promote ethical coffee sourcing. We believe that farmers and their workforce are entitled to safe working conditions and fair wages.

We also work to ensure that our coffees are traceable from farm to cup. This means you can trust that the coffee you drink is sustainably and ethically sourced.

Building Responsible & Ethical Worldwide Sustainability (BREWS) is our comprehensive coffee-buying program that ensures coffee quality while promoting economic and environmental standards. We apply it to 100% of the coffee we purchase and utilize Direct Trade, Fairtrade, and/or other externally verified or certified programs such as organic when possible.
